Can AI songs be on Spotify?
Yes. Spotify and most stores accept music made with AI tools. What they do not accept is music that impersonates real artists, spam uploads, and releases that hide how they were made. Spotify also supports AI credits in the song information, so listeners can see how AI was used.
Before you upload
- Your AI tool’s terms must allow you to release the song commercially — often only on a paid plan.
- Some tools no longer let you download or distribute songs at all (for example, Udio stopped song downloads in late 2025). Check what your tool allows today.
- The song must not copy an existing song or imitate a real artist’s voice.
- Save the final master as WAV and make a 3000 × 3000 cover.
